Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southeast London, are looking for an experienced Schemes Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their parking design and improvement operations.
Position: Schemes Manager (Estates)
Rate: £33.83 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Jan 2026) Possible Extension
Purpose: To support the Parking Design and Improvement Manager and Head of Parking in securing continuous development, improvement, efficiency, and success of the department with focus on Housing Estate parking issues. To support through effective leadership, budget management, strategic direction, planning, management, and governance.
Job Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for all duties relating to the day-to-day operation of Parking Design Service, including administration and management of the boroughs housing estate parking controls including Permits, Suspensions, Dispensations, Paid for Parking services.
- Leading the delivery, to time and budget, of parking projects – identifying and managing funding streams, governance arrangements, and complex inter-dependent project plans.
- To lead on and investigate complex complaints, FOI’s, EIR’s, Elected Member, Member of Parliament enquiries and other formal enquiries, ensuring these are recorded, logged and responded to in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Desirable.
- Previous experience working in a similar position.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
