Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Resident Engagement Manager to join their team and play a crucial role within their housing services.
Position: Resident Engagement Manager
Rate: £26.88 per hour (PAYE)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Sep 2026) Possible Extension
Purpose:
- To lead and manage a team of Resident Engagement Officers delivering a responsive and dynamic resident engagement function across all of the Council’s social housing properties.
- Responsibility for the day-to-day line management of the Resident Engagement Officers, providing support and advice and carrying out regular one to ones and appraisals in line with Council policies and procedures.
- Monitoring performance of Resident Engagement Officers, ensuring that they are meeting the agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and targets and taking action to improve any areas of poor performance.
- Support the development of the Resident Engagement Officer team to ensure the service continues to perform and develop against clear objectives.
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Commitment to continual professional development including a willingness to complete the Chartered Institute for Housing CIH or other relevant qualification.
- A detailed understanding of the Required Outcomes and Specific Expectations of the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards with special emphasis on the Transparency Influence and Accountability Standard, and of the Regulator’s overall role.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
