Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy client based in West London, are looking for an experienced Repairs Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role in their property maintenance relations operations.
Position: Repairs Surveyor
Rate: £36 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension
Purpose: Inspecting residential properties, diagnosing building defects, and managing maintenance work to ensure council housing stock complies with safety standards and legal obligations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre and post-repair physical inspections of occupied and void (vacant) properties.
- Accurately identify structural defects, damp, mould, and maintenance issues.
- Monitor building contractors to ensure repairs are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 1 year experience within a Repairs Surveyor role or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of building pathology, construction methods, housing legislation, and health & safety regulations.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
