The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Providing strategic leadership to staff, promoting a culture of care, quality, and compliance.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations and guiding Team Leaders and Managers to deliver best-in-class services.
- Recruiting, developing, and mentoring staff, creating a supportive and high-performing workforce.
- Embedding a consistent, values-led approach aligned with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding protocols.
- Maintaining full compliance with Ofsted standards and statutory requirements.
- Leading inspections, audits, and quality assurance processes.
- Developing policies and frameworks to ensure continuous improvement.
- Supporting individualised care plans that promote well-being, independence, and education.
- Championing access to education, therapy, recreation, and vocational pathways for all young people.
- Ensuring a nurturing and inclusive living environment that reflects a child-first ethos.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- 5+ years of experience in children’s residential care
- At least 4 years in a leadership or managerial role
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to obtain it)
- In-depth understanding of Ofsted regulations and children’s care standards
- A passion for making a real, positive difference in young people’s lives
