Property Inspector (Temporary Accommodation) in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Property Inspector (Temporary Accommodation) to join their team and play a crucial role within their Housing Operations

Position: Property Inspector (Temporary Accommodation)
Rate: £27.91 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 months possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Duties:

• To carry out a range of duties as directed within Housing Supply, to the Local Authority’s homeless people to whom the Local Authority owe a homelessness duty, irrespective of tenure.
• To carry out a programme of inspections to the Organisations portfolio of temporary accommodation to include the identification and recording of repair defects and fire safety issues.
• To provide a comprehensive report to the provider of the property where appropriate detailing of the defects or issues that are required to be addressed and to follow up on, ensuring that these repairs have been actioned within reasonable timescales.

Job Requirements:

• Experience of building inspection work, identifying faults, preparing
  reports/specifications.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and Health & Safety legislation including general fire safety.
• 2 Years experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
• 2 years experience working within a Property Inspector or similar
