Our client, a London Borough, is looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead the development and implementation of a new South-East London Fostering Hubs on a temporary basis.
Position: Fostering Hub Programme Manager
Contract Type: 6 months
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
Purpose:
- Lead the development and implementation of a South-East London Fostering Hub, bringing local authorities together to improve foster carer recruitment and provide more children with stable, loving homes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of the South-East London Fostering Hub.
- Support the development of a joined-up fostering service across participating local authorities.
- Help establish an effective foster carer recruitment pathway, from initial enquiry through to approval.
- Work collaboratively with local authority partners and key stakeholders to support the delivery of the programme.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable, relationship-driven fostering service that improves outcomes for children and young people.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in programme or project management.
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and partner organisations.
- Strong organisational, communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to lead the development and delivery of a programme within agreed timescales.
- Understanding of children's services, fostering or local authority settings would be beneficial
