Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Planning Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Planning Operations.

Position: Planning Officer

Rate: £27.72 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Work arrangement: Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing general planning advice in accordance with the Planning Framework, Corporate Core Principles, Key Aims, Service Plans, Financial Regulations and Standing Orders and agreed procedures.
  • To provide pre-application advice and compliance with legislation and regulations advice.
  • Responsible for supervision of junior members of staff in a development management team.

Job Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in development management.
  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 1 year experience within a Planning Officer role or equivalent.
