Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority based in East London, are looking for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Legal services.
Position: Planning Lawyer
Rate: Up to £55 per hour(Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (3 Months) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Mainly Remote
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to a local planning authority on town and country planning, development management, and environmental governance.
- Advise planning officers, senior management, and elected members (councils/committees) on planning law, procedures, and decision-making risks.
- Attend Planning Committee meetings to offer real-time legal, procedural, and governance guidance.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Admitted Solicitor (SRA), Barrister (Bar Standards Board), or CILEx Fellow with a current practicing certificate in England and Wales.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
