L&T Estate Surveyor in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Estates Surveyor to join their team and play a crucial role within their property services services.

Position: L&T Estate Surveyor
Rate: £590 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Aug 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose:

• Undertake all L&T estates management and transactional matters with a focus on adding value and driving the financial return from the investment portfolio whilst also regularising the occupation of operational portfolio and seeking commercial rents where appropriate to do so.

Job Duties:

• To work closely with the Estates Management and Disposals Teams to deliver agreed service plans and performance targets are delivered whilst ensuring that a culture of “putting our residents first” and continuous service improvement is developed and maintained.
• Ensure designated suppliers, contractors and staff undertake customer service activities in line with the Council’s vision of ‘putting residents first’ and fulfil their obligations to receive, manage and respond to complaints.
• To contribute to the Landlord and Tenant Team and provide information to inform the oversight of the rolling programme of lease events, and the pipeline of forecast revenue and anticipated timeline of settlements.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Estates Management or other equivalent property related subject.
• RICS Membership.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
