Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Southwest London, are looking for an experienced Library Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their library service operations.
Position: Library Manager
Rate: £25.65 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (June 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Purpose: To oversee the provision of an excellent and high quality customer focused service to agreed service standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for recruiting, developing and managing staff to deliver a high quality, excellent and first class customer focused library service.
- Deploy staff, volunteers and security guards within your designated library/libraries to ensure the provision of a reliable and quality service.
- Support other libraries as required.
- Responsible for designated library buildings and ensuring that buildings are maintained to a high standard.
- Liaise with Facilities Management to ensure that any issues are reported and fixed in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Public library experience or front-facing experience of working in a customer environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that Service Standards are adhered to at all times.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
