Lettings Officer in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in North West London, are looking for an experienced Lettings Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Housing Operations

Position: Lettings Officer
Rate: £28.19 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 months possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Duties:

• To contribute to the maintenance of the choice based letting system which enables applicants to bid for properties.
• To amend and update cases, properties and schemes on the LOCATA system and advise applicants on the use of the service.
• To identify cases of fraud and misrepresentation and take appropriate action in conjunction with senior officers in the accommodation services team.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of core legislation such as the Housing Act 1985, the Housing Act 1996 (Part VI), Homelessness Act 2002, Localism Act 2011, Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, related rehousing issues and case law.
• Experience using the LOCATA system.
• Experience of giving advice to customers and working with vulnerable groups.
• 2 Years experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
• 2 years experience working within a Lettings Officer or similar
