Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy housing client in Islington, are looking for an experienced Leasehold Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their leasehold operations.

Position: Leasehold Officer

Rate: £27.38 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)

Contract Duration: Temporary (Aug 2026) Possible Extension

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose: Manage the day-to-day administrative and property management services for leasehold properties on behalf of a landlord, local council, or housing association.

Job Duties:

  • Overseeing the statutory Section 20 consultation process for major repairs and long-term agreements to ensure legal compliance and transparent cost recovery.
  • Interpret lease agreements, handle breach of lease issues, and provide advice to residents and colleagues.
  • Address leaseholder queries, investigate complaints, and facilitate resident meetings or consultations.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • Strong understanding of UK leasehold law (e.g., Landlord and Tenant Act 1985) and regulatory standards.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
