Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Lead Resources Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their commissioning operations.

Position: Lead Resources Officer (Child Commissioning)
Location: East London
Rate: £200 a day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months (Possible Extension)

Duties:

  • Support the Resources Manager with day to day operations of the Commissioning & Resources Hub.
  • Commission a range of care, support and education packages for children with the highest levels of need.
  • Source individual packages of care, support and educational provision for children and their families.
  • Contribute to specific commissioning projects including market and supplier analysis, options appraisal, writing & presenting business cases.
  • Attend various panels and review teams to ensure that resources are allocated appropriately.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of commissioning and purchasing or management of care, support or educational arrangements for children and their families.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of vulnerable children e.g.
    Looked After Children, Care Leavers, Children with Special Educational Needs, homeless young people.
  • Previous experience of coordinating and tracking service delivery and
    understanding care packages and cost structures.
  • Knowledge of the individual commissioning of care, support and
    education market (placement and accommodation services).
  • Ability to manage staff in Children’s or Adults Social Care and Education settings as part of a duty management system.
