Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Income Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Housing Operation.
Position: Income Officer
Rate: £27.36 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 months possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Duties:
- Collection of income and full management of customer accounts, managing cases that need further action e.g. court action
- Initiate legal proceedings, work closely with the Council’s legal team to monitor possession cases
- Update and manage financial arrangements for storage and removals
- Manage and refund rent credits when required
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of rent arrears issues and ability to implement arrears procedure to maximise client income
- Knowledge of public sector housing issues
- Experience of working in a financial environment and dealing with client income arrears and Housing Benefit recovery
- Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
