Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their housing operations.
Position: Housing Officer
Rate: £29.78 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension
Purpose: To provide a customer focused, proactive and high-quality Tenancy/leasehold, neighbourhood management service to general needs and sheltered residents.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day management of a patch of tenancies, leases, and licences, to include sheltered housing, to ensure all agreements are adhered to and action is taken to address breaches where appropriate.
- To plan, co-ordinate and undertake a tenancy audit of your patch, visiting all properties within an agreed timeframe to build our business intelligence of the people and properties we manage.
- Take a lead on ASB management, ensuring a victim centered response where cases are resolved quickly through partnership working and the effective use of relevant tools and powers.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 1 year experience within a Housing Officer role or equivalent.
- An understanding of the service delivery, Government Policy, Legislative frameworks and key issues, including equalities issues, relevant to the management of Housing Tenancies.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
