Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a Local Authority, are looking for an experienced Highway Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Electrical Vehicle operations.
Position: Highways Officer
Salary: £20.92 per hour Umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 Month Contract(possible extension)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Purpose:
- To ensure that residents and developers in the borough
conform to The Highways Act 1980 and where non-compliance is identified to enforce against various illegal activities associated with infringement and damage to the Highway.
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out appropriate investigations to breaches to the Highways Act, 1980, and other associated legislation.
- Work with the Council’s highways contractor and EV charging suppliers to implement works upon approval of applications.
- To assess and approve or reject applications for highway licences, third party highway agreements, resident highway applications including crossovers and EV charging solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Experience working in a Highway Officer or similar role
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential.
