Highway Maintenance Engineer in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in South West London, are looking for an experienced Highway Maintenance Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Engineering Operations

Position: Highway Maintenance Engineer
Rate: £34.14 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 3 months with a possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Duties:

• Support design, management, and delivery of engineering projects including traffic management, highways, drainage, flood prevention, cycling, and street lighting.
• Monitor contractor performance, site safety, and progress on complex surveys and feasibility studies.
• Prepare technical reports, make recommendations to Senior Engineers and develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD.

Job Requirements:

• Requires practical highway/traffic engineering knowledge and health safety awareness
• Qualifications include a degree or HND/HNC in relevant fields.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• 2 Years experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
• Previous experience working within a Highway Maintenance Engineer or similar
