Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Northwest London, are looking for an experienced
Heat Networks Project Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Neighbourhoods & Regeneration services.

Position: Heat Networks Project Officer
Rate: £36.62 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Nov 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Purpose:

• Responsible for managing the Heat Network project, to supply up to 3,000 homes, ensuring the scheme remains financially viable and provides affordable heat to end users.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for managing allocated project budgets and resources and ensuring that the Council’s financial management and reporting protocols are adhered to.
• Lead on project communications including keeping residents and heat off-takers informed of project developments.
• Lead on compiling regular progress and governance reports and identifying and managing project risks/issues.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
• Extensive relevant project management experience – Prince 2 Practitioner level or equivalent.
• Knowledge of project management techniques, including governance, dependency management, risk management and financial management.
• Knowledge of district heating systems, including relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
