Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in West London, are looking for an experienced Employee Engagement Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in workforce development initiatives.
Position: Employee Engagement Officer
Rate: £31.56 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (Dec 2026) Possible Extension
Purpose: Manage a varied portfolio of HR and employee engagement projects aligned to the Council’s People Strategy and wider organisational priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leading allocated projects aligned to deliver the Council’s corporate and people management strategies, e.g. promoting awareness of priorities and availability of services such as health and wellbeing, employee engagement events (including Council-wide events), activities undertaken during major incidents and associated recovery.
- Proactively champion and promote transparent, two-way communication between staff networks and the HR&OD function to build relationships with key contacts and influencers.
- Promote the use of employee engagement channels and feedback from employee groups, stakeholders and networks to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of HR interventions and inform future content of HR projects and initiatives.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- CIPD qualification at level 5 or above - Essential.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
