Position: Commercial Vehicle Technician

Rate: £39,276 per annum

Contract Duration: Permanent

Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Job Purpose: This pivotal role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.

Job Duties:

  • Perform detailed diagnostics and repairs on commercial vehicles including trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and service procedures according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Utilise advanced technical expertise to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform routine inspections, and execute preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, preferably at Level 3 or equivalent.
  • NVQ 3 or IMI 3 Heavy Motor Vehicle qualification or equivalent.
  • Qualified Commercial Vehicle Inspector (VOSA accreditation).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems specific to commercial trucks and heavy vehicles.
  • Up to date MOT test qualification and the ability to drive class 2 vehicle.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
