Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, based in London, is looking for a Child Protection Advisor to lead on CP issues, conferences, meetings and complex cases.

Position: Child Protection Advisor

Rate: £45.20 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: 3 months with possible extension

Essentials:

  • Confident, experienced Child Protection Advisor/Chair
  • Enhanced DBS required for this position
  • Registered with SWE
  • Recognised Social Work Qualification

Purpose: Working within Child Protection and Safeguarding to ensure the safety and welfare of children in a multi-agency setting. Improving practice standards by quality assuring and making decisions on CP plans.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of Safeguarding Children and Child Protection
  • Improve outcomes and promote the welfare/safety of children within the team
  • Quality assurance, audits and reviews of CP cases and safeguarding concerns
  • Multi-agency working to ensure service relationships are maintained between departments
  • Assist with the decision-making process in line with legislation and guidance
  • Chair conferences, meetings and allegations

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years experience within an English Local Authority (in line with DFE)
  • Previous CP Chair/Conference needed
  • High knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Comfortable delivering safe services within a multi-agency environment, using people and management skills to ensure excellent outcomes are consistently delivered
