Benefit Assessment Officer in London

Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in North West London, are looking for an experienced Benefit Assessment Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Benefits Operations

Position: Benefit Assessment Officer
Rate: £24.56 p/h umbrella
Contract Duration: 5 months possible extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Duties:

• Handle complex benefit cases, including disputes, backdating, and deprivation of capital.
• Resolve all claim types by liaising with customers, stakeholders, and external agencies like DWP and HMRC.
• Identify and act on overpayments, potential fraud, and complex benefit cases.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Housing Benefits, Council Tax Support, and social care assessments.
• Experience on using NEC system.
• Experienced Benefit Officer with a minimum of 5 years experience in assessing HB and CTS.
• 2 Years experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation
