Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy housing association in Kirkby, are looking for an experienced Caretaker to join their team and play a crucial role in their maintenance operations.

Position: Caretaker

Rate: £17 per hour (Umbrella)

Contract Duration: Temp (Sep 2026) Possible Extension

Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Purpose: To provide a safe and well maintained environment by carrying out general maintenance and caretaking duties in accordance with the needs and expectations of the customer and the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake site reactive repairs and maintenance duties serving as a first point of contact for customers and working in accordance with local and legislative procedures.
  • Assist in undertaking building checks and audits to ensure safe and secure environments for all stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety and emergency procedures and regulations.
  • Undertake waste management and cleaning in accordance with the specific site requirements and schedules.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Desirable.
  • British Institute Certificate in cleaning services (BICS) - Desirable.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
