Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in Southwest England, are looking for an experienced Lawyer (Adult's Social Care) to join their team and play a crucial role within their social care operations.
Rate: £50-55 per hour (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Remote
Job Purpose:
This role will involve providing legal advice and representation in a range of Adult Social Care matters, with a particular focus on Court of Protection work and Mental Health law.
Job Duties:
- Manage a caseload of Adult Social Care legal matters.
- Conduct Welfare and Section 21A applications in the Court of Protection.
- Provide advice relating to Ordinary Residence matters.
- Provide legal advice in relation to the Mental Health Act.
- Attend hearings and provide advocacy where required.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant practicing certificate.
- Proven experience in Adult Social Care law.
- Experience handling Court of Protection matters, including Welfare and Section 21A applications.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
