Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority based in West Yorkshire, are looking for an experienced Housing Solutions Officer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Housing Solutions Service.
Position: Housing Solutions Officer
Rate: £19.84 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (Nov 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Purpose:
- The service’s main focus is on assisting people to find, keep, maintain, and live independently in quality, affordable homes. The service adopts a person centred, creative early intervention prevention approach to solving housing problems, only turning to compliance as a last resort.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working directly with customers to provide creative and innovative housing solutions.
- You will be committed to making a positive difference to the lives of people in housing need, and passionate about preventing and tackling homelessness and addressing housing needs and issues.
- Assessment of housing need including the prevention of and assessment of homelessness.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation - Essential.
- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
