Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in South West England, are looking for an experienced Highways Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role within their Engineering Operation.
Position: Highways Engineer
Rate: £32 per hour Umbrella
Contract Duration: 6 months with Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Duties:
- You will design and supervise traffic schemes, liaising with in-house teams as part of the design process for designs of street furniture such as street lighting, structures and traffic signals and monitor scheme budgets.
- Carrying out consultations, to advertise the traffic orders, preparing objection reports for presentation to the Director of Environment and Community Services.
- Prepare construction information in order for works to be implemented by our in-house contractor.
Job Requirements:
- Level 6/HND/Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- You will have a good knowledge of the relevant Health and Safety legislation including the CDM Regulations.
- Previous experience working as a Highways Engineer or similar role.
- Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
