Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, an Education Institute in South West London, are looking for an experienced Foundation Lecturer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Learning and Development department.
Position: Foundation Lecturer
Rate: £30 p/h (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: 5 months with Possible Extension
Essential: Enhanced DBS required for this position
Purpose:
You’ll be responsible for teaching and developing programmes designed for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working on entry level programmes, to promote independence and enhance employability skills for students.
- Design, publicise and promote programmes and to recruit and select students for College courses.
- Working with external agencies and liaising with parents/guardians to ensure effective support with work experience, inductions, teaching and overall learning.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within an educational institute or a similar organisation.
- At least 2 years experience within a Foundation Lecturer role or equivalent.
- Experience delivering BTEC Level One programmes, including Functional Skills English and Maths.
- Understanding of inclusive learning and progression pathways for SEND students.
- Experience working within Further Education, including Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
- Understanding of accreditation framework and safeguarding procedures.
