Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in Buckinghamshire, are looking for an experienced Flood Resilience Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their flood risk operations.
Position: Programme Manager
Location: West Yorkshire
Rate: £67 p/h (Umbrella)
Contract: 2-3 months (Possible Extension)
Hybrid: 2 days in the office
Duties:
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of the Strategic Flood Management team, the Sustainable Drainage team and the Flood Capital Programme team workstreams.
- Oversee the preparation of internal and external business plans for projects and submit and present to decision making bodies internally and externally.
- Lead the development and oversee the implementation of policy, systems, contracts, processes, performance criteria, standards, governance frameworks, and procedures.
- Ensure commissioning and procurement of goods / services meets all strategic and procedural requirements.
- Implement a comprehensive risk management programme for the area of responsibility, including implementation and delivery of corporate risk management processes.
Job Requirements:
- Experience of planning and delivering specialist services within a complex organisation, with expert technical knowledge.
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. environment, geography, flood management).
- Significant experience focused on LLFA responsibilities and flood risk management matters.
- Extensive experience of commissioning, procurement and contract management.
- A full driving license required to be able to carry out the role.
