Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy local authority in the East of England, are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team and play a crucial role in their education division.

Position: Financial Analyst
Rate: Β£400 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (Dec 2026) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Remote (office attendance once a month)

Job Purpose:

  • Your role will incorporate the financial management of the DSG Schools and High Needs Blocks, including monitoring of the DSG management plan. You will provide advice and guidance to partners and will undertake change projects to improve financial processes and services. It will be a challenging but rewarding role, presenting opportunities for creativity and service development within education and finance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, forecast, and manage education funding and school budgets.
  • Support High Needs budget management and deficit recovery plans.
  • Produce variance analysis, financial reports, and fulfilling statutory return requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Experienced in managing Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) budgets.
  • Qualified in AAT or QBE.
  • Experienced in local authority education finance teams.
