Our client, a busy local authority in West of Essex, are looking for an experienced Governance Administrator to join their team and play a crucial role in their governance operations.
Position: Governance Administrator
Rate: £170 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (Aug 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Job Purpose: This is a varied and busy role where you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day administrative activities, coordinating meetings, managing documentation, and ensuring records and governance processes are maintained efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organising and scheduling meetings, including booking rooms and coordinating attendees.
- Managing calendars and arranging appointments.
- Taking accurate minutes during meetings and distributing actions as required.
- Preparing, formatting, and proofreading reports, correspondence, and other documentation.
- Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Experienced in an administrative or business support role.
- Confident taking meeting minutes and producing professional documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
