Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy client based in Dudley, are looking for an experienced Communications & Public Affairs Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Communications and Public Affairs operations.
Position: Communications & Public Affairs Officer
Rate: £261 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) Possible Extension
Purpose: Communication of the council’s business and the management of the council’s reputation by supporting the development and implementation of the corporate communications strategy through the full range of the marketing mix.
Job Responsibilities:
- Building and forming relationships at all levels of local government – both political and officers.
- Crisis management working with stakeholders to achieve communications objectives and reinforce/defend the council’s reputation.
- To act as brand champion for the council.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Experience in a marketing and communications role to include project management and public relations.
- Evidence of success in building and forming relationships at all levels of local government – both political and officers.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
