JOB SUMMARY
As Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or personal challenges that affect their learning.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide professional social work support to students, including assessment, intervention, and ongoing case management
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, families, and external agencies
- Contribute to safeguarding, child protection, and multi‑agency meetings
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory and organisational requirements
- Promote inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing across the college community
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
- Experience working with young people and/or vulnerable adults
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice
- Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
