JOB SUMMARY
As Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or personal challenges that affect their learning.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- Provide professional social work support to students, including assessment, intervention, and ongoing case management.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, families, and external agencies.
- Contribute to safeguarding, child protection, and multi-agency meetings.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
- Promote inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing across the college community.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with young people and/or vulnerable adults.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
