JOB SUMMARY

As Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or personal challenges that affect their learning.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Provide professional social work support to students, including assessment, intervention, and ongoing case management.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support services, families, and external agencies.
  • Contribute to safeguarding, child protection, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Promote inclusion, equality, and student wellbeing across the college community.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working with young people and/or vulnerable adults.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
