Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a Client based in Dudley, are looking for an experienced Civil & Structural Engineering Manager to join their team and play a crucial role within their Transport & Highway Services.
Position: Civil & Structural Engineering Manager
Rate: £300 per day (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (April 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Job Purpose:
- To effectively manage the Civil Engineering Teams providing leadership and strategic direction in the delivery of Structural Engineering team Flood Management and Geotechnical services in order to protect, develop, enhance and promote the Borough's Highway Structures, Watercourses and Infrastructure, for the benefit of residents and visitors, and to support the environmental, economic and cultural development.
Job Responsibilities:
- To provide strategic direction, advice and guidance on civil engineering, flood management and maintenance issues at all levels.
- First point of contact to provide professional Civil and Structural Engineering design and delivery services for all Council Departments.
- Prepare long term sustainable development, management and maintenance plans for Flood Risk strategies alongside riverside developments to ensure benefit to the site users and borough residents.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
