Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a local authority in South London, are looking for an experienced Accountancy Business Change Deputy Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their financial operations.
Position:
Accountancy Business Change Deputy Manager
Location: South London
Rate: £400 a day (Umbrella)
Contract: 3 months (Possible Extension)
Hybrid: 2 days in the office!
Duties:
- Assist the Accountancy Business Change Manager in ensuring that these services are professionally managed and delivered at the operational level.
- Ensure that Financial Procedures and practices are appropriate to the current legislation and Strategic Direction, and that the Council meets it's section 151 responsibilities.
- Successfully analyse complex issues and situations providing practical and creative solutions that support sound decision making and effective budget management.
Job Requirements:
- An experienced financial professional with a Local Government background.
- In-depth knowledge of frontline council services and an understanding of HRA accounting. A working knowledge of Capital Accounting is desirable.
- Proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to identify risks and challenge existing processes constructively.
- Strong analytical skills, sound professional judgement and a commitment to evidence-based decision making.
