Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, based in Swindon, are looking for an experienced Casual Out of Hours Highway Operative to join their team and play a crucial role in their Highways Operations.
Position: Casual Out of Hours Highway Operative
Rate: £23.56 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract Duration: Temp (April 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Job Purpose:
- To ensure Safe Passage of the General Public in line with the Highways Act 1980.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in emergency situations as directed by Highway Senior Specialist, Highway Inspector or Emergency officer.
- Look after and keep in a clean and usable condition all tools and plant you are working with, return when finished or at regular intervals for routine maintenance/calibration.
- Disposal of waste materials in line with the latest environmental requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience and knowledge of all Civil and Construction applications and practice techniques.
- Sound working experience and knowledge of all groundwork applications.
- A valid Full UK Driving Licence.
