Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in South West England, are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer Personal Assistant to join their team and play a crucial role within their Housing Operation.

Position: Business Support Officer Personal Assistant (Primarily a Support role)

Rate: £17.92 p/h Umbrella

Contract Duration: 1 year possible extension

Working Arrangement: On-Site (part time - 21 hours)

Job Duties:

  • The role will support a profoundly deaf and learning disabled member of staff to conduct a wide range of business support and administrative tasks.
  • Assist the visually and hearing-impaired colleague with:
    • Making written and visually presented information accessible
    • Communicating effectively with colleagues, senior management, internal customers and external agencies via emails and Teams.
    • Operating all equipment required for the job safely and effectively.
    • Actioning business support tasks.
    • Accessing data from database
    • Scanning documents and uploading to database.
    • The use of specialist software
    • Supporting visitors attending to the team at City Hall
    • Using Outlook to respond to emails to external stakeholders
    • Creating legal bundles
    • Transcription support

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience supporting colleagues with email triage, post processing, database manipulation and other office responsibilities.
  • Candidate must demonstrate support experience dealing with deaf and learning disabilities.
  • Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
