Location: Bristol

Rate of Pay: £450p/d umbrella

Short Brief: Most of the team are currently working from home most of the time, with occasional attendance in the office. Others prefer to come into the office every day. This works well and we do not foresee any change to these flexible arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, benchmarking with others, evaluating output requirements and formats etc to create a clear set of business requirements.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications, producing 'as-is' process maps, use cases/user stories, product backlogs and 'to-be' design documents as required.
  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications and recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
  • Play a key role in the project team, including defining project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements and supporting the establishment of an appropriate project budget through validating resource requirements for business analysis work.
  • Develop an appropriate level of understanding of IT solutions design and implementation to inform potential design options for end-to-end processes with an awareness of what IT solutions can enable.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 2 years experience within a Business Analyst or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst supporting reviews and migrations of case management systems.
  • Ability to distill complex technical specifications into clear, high-level functional requirements and summaries.
  • Experience with IDOX Uniform.
  • Experience with Civica APP.
