Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in East London, are looking for an experienced Accountant (Treasury & Pensions) to join their team and play a crucial role in their treasury & pensions operations.
Rate: £111.13 per hour (Umbrella, Outside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (3 Months) with Possible Extension
Purpose: This will be a key role in our small treasury and pensions accounting team, working with our existing part time principal accountant to deliver both operational treasury and pensions activity, as well as more strategic deliverables such as committee reports. The candidate must have significant experience of Local Authority Treasury and Pensions accounting, and be able to contribute to the wide range of operational tasks within the team's remit as well as lead on the production of committee reports specifically for these functions. They will be doing a significant portion of the hands-on year-end accounting for these areas, in conjunction with the current principal accountant.
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
- At least 1 year experience within an Accountant (Treasury & Pensions) role or equivalent.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
