Property Litigation Locum Solicitor
November Start | 6 Months+ | Full-Time Preferred | Office-Based
Temporis Legal Recruitment are working with a well-established law firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor to provide maternity cover within their busy litigation department.
The assignment is due to commence at the beginning of November 2026 and is expected to run for a minimum of six months. The firm would ideally like someone available five days per week.
This is a fully office-based position and unfortunately there is no scope for remote working.
The successful locum will join a busy and established litigation team acting predominantly for lender clients, handling recovery and enforcement matters from default through to the realisation of security.
You will inherit a high-volume and varied caseload and will need to be comfortable managing matters independently from the outset.
The caseload will include:
- Mortgage possession and repossession proceedings
- Lender recovery and enforcement matters
- County Court and High Court litigation
- Bankruptcy-related litigation
- Professional negligence claims
The firm is looking for an experienced litigation solicitor who can hit the ground running and manage a busy caseload autonomously with minimal supervision.
Previous experience of mortgage possession/repossessions work would be particularly advantageous, and experience acting for lenders or dealing with property-related litigation would also be highly relevant.
The firm uses Proclaim case management, so familiarity with the system would be useful but is not essential.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced locum looking for a longer-term assignment with a busy, specialist litigation team and plenty of good-quality work to get stuck into.
