The Opportunity
An established national law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor or FCILEx Lawyer to join its Employment team. This is an office-based role, offering 1 day working from home after probation.
The role involves managing a caseload of contentious Employment Tribunal matters primarily Respondent defence, alongside exposure to non-contentious employment work.
This opportunity would suit an employment law professional with a genuine interest in the field, who enjoys delivering practical, commercial advice within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on potential Employment Tribunal claims
- Managing a caseload of Employment Tribunal matters, including:
- Drafting pleadings and witness statements
- Negotiating settlements and advising on settlement agreements
- Instructing counsel or advocates where required
- Ensuring compliance with Legal Expenses Insurer service level agreements
- Drafting employment contracts, handbooks, and related documentation
- Providing reactive and proactive employment advice to commercial clients
- Telephone-based employment law advice
- Writing employment law updates
- Delivering client training sessions
