Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until 30th January 2027 Location: Swindon Working Pattern: Part ot Full time The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Sonographer to join a busy NHS Imaging Department, supporting the delivery of high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services. The successful candidate will undertake a specialist ultrasound caseload, performing and reporting examinations while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and clinical practice. You will work closely with radiologists, clinicians, and the wider multidisciplinary team to support efficient diagnostic pathways and positive patient outcomes. The role will focus on delivering abdominal and gynaecology ultrasound services, including transvaginal scanning (TVS). Requirements * Relevant ultrasound qualification and professional registration where applicable * Previous experience working at Band 7 Sonographer level or equivalent * NHS experience is essential * Competent in independently performing and reporting ultrasound examinations * Significant experience in abdominal ultrasound * Significant experience in gynaecology ultrasound, including transvaginal scanning (TVS) * Experience managing a varied diagnostic ultrasound caseload * Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging protocols and patient care standards * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively * Experience working within a multidisciplinary team environment * Strong organisational and documentation skills * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) * Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment Why Apply? * Long-term NHS locum opportunity * Potential to gain experience within a busy Imaging Department * Supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team * Opportunity to work within a large acute hospital setting * Immediate start available Apply For more information or to apply, please contact Amy by submitting your cv ASAP
