Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA) is recruiting an experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist to join an NHS Hospital in Avon on a locum basis.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until 30/09/2026
Location: Somerset
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00
The Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Consultant Breast Radiologist to join a busy NHS Breast Imaging Service. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality breast imaging, diagnosis, and patient care, supporting both symptomatic and screening pathways. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary breast team, contributing to imaging interpretation, assessment clinics, and MDT discussions while ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety.
Requirements:
- GMC-registered Doctor with a licence to practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology, or equivalent eligibility
- Substantial experience in Breast Radiology
- Competency in breast imaging techniques including:
- Mammography
- Breast Ultrasound
- Breast MRI
- Image-guided breast interventions
- Experience participating in Breast MDT meetings
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills
- Strong clinical decision-making and reporting abilities
- Knowledge of NHS governance, quality standards, and patient safety requirements
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment
