Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA) is recruiting an experienced Consultant Breast Radiologist to join an NHS Hospital in Avon on a locum basis.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Until 30/09/2026

Location: Somerset

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00

The Locum Consultant Radiologist Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Consultant Breast Radiologist to join a busy NHS Breast Imaging Service. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality breast imaging, diagnosis, and patient care, supporting both symptomatic and screening pathways. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary breast team, contributing to imaging interpretation, assessment clinics, and MDT discussions while ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety.

Locum Consultant Radiologist Requirements

  • GMC-registered Doctor with a licence to practise
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology, or equivalent eligibility
  • Substantial experience in Breast Radiology
  • Competency in breast imaging techniques including:
    • Mammography
    • Breast Ultrasound
    • Breast MRI
    • Image-guided breast interventions
  • Experience participating in Breast MDT meetings
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working skills
  • Strong clinical decision-making and reporting abilities
  • Knowledge of NHS governance, quality standards, and patient safety requirements
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment
