Locum Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist (Older People & Integrated Care) in Surrey (Hampshire Border)
Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA) is recruiting an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join an NHS Older People and Integrated Care Community Service on a locum basis.
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 24th November 2026 initially
Location: Surrey (Hampshire border)
Working Pattern: Full Time
The Role:
You will work within a community-based Older People and Integrated Care service, providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, rehabilitation, and care planning for patients with complex health and social care needs. The successful candidate will support individuals to maximise their independence, improve functional outcomes, and facilitate safe discharge and community living. You will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across health and social care services to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. The role will also involve contributing to service development initiatives, supporting quality improvement projects, and providing leadership within the team where required.
Requirements:
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
- Previous NHS experience working at Band 6 or Band 7 level
- Experience within Older People, Community, Integrated Care, or Rehabilitation Services
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience contributing to quality improvement initiatives
- Competency in complex moving and handling assessments
- Strong assessment, rehabilitation, and care planning experience
- Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to manage complex caseloads independently
- Excellent communication, organisational, and documentation skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment
