Locum Band 6 Mammographer in Wiltshire

Temporary Staffing Agency (TSA Ltd) is recruiting an experienced Band 6 Mammographer to join an NHS Breast Screening Unit in Wiltshire on a locum basis.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 31st October 2026

Location: Wiltshire

Working Pattern: Full Time

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Mammographer to support a busy NHS Breast Screening Service, delivering high-quality breast screening examinations within the community. The successful candidate will primarily work on Breast Screening Mobile Units (Vans) across Wiltshire, providing compassionate, patient-centred care while ensuring high standards of imaging quality and safety.

You will work as part of a dedicated Breast Screening Team, contributing to the effective delivery of the NHS Breast Screening Programme and supporting positive patient experiences throughout the screening pathway.

Requirements

  • HCPC-registered Radiographer
  • Certificate in Mammography
  • Experience working within the NHS Breast Screening Programme
  • Previous experience performing screening mammography examinations
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills
  • Legally able to drive and travel to Breast Screening Mobile Units (Vans)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the assignment
