You will deliver will work closely with Rob Hall (our CEO) and Jamie Johnson (our Ops Lead).

About Tempo

Tempo was created to simplify the ISO 27001 audit experience for startups. Founder and CEO, Rob, saw first‑hand how old‑school and slow‑moving the existing certification bodies (that’s the companies delivering the ISO 27001 audits) were. Where there were lots of tech platforms and VC‑backed companies improving the implementation process for companies, the audit‑side was stuck in the 90s – with slow processes, and audits that didn’t move to the tech‑company clientele’s speed or understand their platforms. Tempo was created to change that.

Since starting in 2024, Tempo has grown quickly – and is looking for an in‑house information security auditor to join our CEO and Ops Lead, and team of information security auditors.

Tempo is 100% remote and has a relaxed but fast‑moving culture with a belief that work should be enjoyable. We are UK‑based, but willing to work with the right candidate in any location that can reasonably work on UK / EU timezone.

You should apply if:

• You have a passion for technology, and specifically information security and AI (Nb you do not need to be a qualified information security auditor already, provided you have IT and/or AI experience as set‑out below)

• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage audits and build relationships with our clients
• You have excellent attention to detail
• You’re also confident managing time and client expectations—ensuring audits stay on track while maintaining a positive, professional experience for the client from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

If you’re not already qualified in ISO 27001 or SOC 2, you’ll be trained up as an information security and AI auditor, developing specialist skills in a fast‑growing and important area for tech companies.

Once trained, you will manage clients’ audits end-to-end – working with leadership teams from exciting tech and AI startups across Europe and the world, who are looking to become ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certified, to interview them, gather evidence, and subsequently prepare the reports and give your opinion on certification.

You will:

• Work side‑by‑side with the founder and Ops Lead, and will have big potential for growth in a fast‑developing business
• Receive valuable training and develop expertise in a hot sector – you will be trained up to become an expert in ISO 27001 and ISO 42001, both fast‑growing certifications that will give you valuable skills
• Own full audit lifecycle for clients (after completion of training) – you will have full autonomy to deliver audits
• Help Tempo develop and improve our processes – we’re an early‑stage company, and constantly evolving and developing.

Experience That You Will Bring

Must-haves

• English (fluent)
• Professional education or training equivalent to University level
• 2 years’ of work experience in IT and/or information security, with AI a strong additional benefit
• Ability to work on UK or CET timezone (even if based outside of these timezones)

What We Offer

• Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 GBP

Our Interview Process

1. Intro Chat (15 min) with Ops Lead, Jamie Johnson – Get to know us and share your story
2. Intro Chat (15 min) with CEO, Rob Hall – A quick chance for you to meet Rob to check there’s a culture‑fit from both sides, before you jump into the key parts of the process
3. Team Interview with 2x team members (45 mins) – a chance for you to meet 2x team members (other than the founders). This is a great opportunity for you to prepare questions for them around the culture at Tempo, and what it’s like to work here
4. Founders Interview (45 mins) – A final interview with Founders, Rob Hall and Yasmin Amarante.
