We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in a residential children’s home in Lincolnshire. You will play a key role in providing high-quality, trauma-informed care and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusting, positive relationships with children and young people through consistent, trauma-informed care
- Support daily routines including education, meals, hobbies, and recreational activities
- Assist with emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs in line with individual care plans
- Promote a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that supports healing and personal growth
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational procedures at all times
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with policies and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in residential, educational, or social care settings (desirable)
- Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and attachment theory
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and responsive in challenging situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and reliable, with availability for shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins
- A full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (support provided)
