We are seeking a Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Doncaster. This vital role involves providing compassionate support and assistance to Children and Young People ensuring their well-being and development. The Support Worker will play a key part in helping us deliver high-quality care aligned with our company’s values.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality 1:1 support tailored to meet the Child's individual care plan.
- Build a consistent trusting and nurturing relationship that helps the young person grow and thrive.
- Support Children with daily routines, education, hobbies and interests as well as social & community integration.
- Implement therapeutic strategies and behaviour support plans in line with trauma-informed practice.
- Work closely with family members and other professionals to ensure a person-centred approach.
- Act as a positive role model promoting independence, confidence, self-esteem and healthy boundaries.
- Provide accurate record-keeping, incident reports and safeguarding documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working with Children or Young People with complex needs.
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Diploma Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare) is desirable.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and Child protection legislation.
- Strong communication, patience and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic, trauma-informed or attachment-based care models.
- Ability to work flexibly across shift patterns, including evenings, weekends & sleep-ins (if required).
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Valid driving license is preferred but not essential for this role.
