If so, this is awonderful opportunity for an experienced Rota/Resourcing Manager, with a background in Domiciliary/Field Care, to join a well established Home Care services provider. The Resource and Scheduling Manager is responsible for leading and managing the effective scheduling, coordination, and resource allocation of care staff across the domiciliary care and Extra Care services. The role ensures all commissioned packages are fully staffed in accordance with care plans, compliance requirements, and service-level agreements, while maintaining budgetary and operational efficiency. Summary of Benefits: 28 days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays) Company Stakeholder Pension Scheme Full expensed company mobile phone for business use Blue Light Card Discounts package Mileage paid for business use Car business insurance paid Key Features of Role: * Liaise with Care Coordinators, Senior Managers, Field Care Supervisors and Team Leaders to manage the daily scheduling of care staff to ensure all calls and visits are covered efficiently and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements. * Lead on rota planning, taking into account annual leave, sickness, and training, and ensure continuity of care and staff wellbeing. * Provide pro-active response to gaps in service provision and ensure real-time rota adjustments. * Maintain accurate electronic records on scheduling software platforms and monitoring systems (e.g., ECM, CM2000, PASS). * Work with HR and recruitment teams to ensure adequate staffing levels and flag workforce shortages. * Line manage scheduling and resource team members, providing supervision, guidance, and performance management. * Monitor adherence to Electronic Call Monitoring thresholds and address any anomalies in coordination with service managers and finance. * Provide timely reports to senior management, local authorities, and regulators as required. * Contribute to the redesign of rotas and service models to enhance efficiency and person-centred care delivery. Previous experience Essential: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in scheduling/resource planning within a domiciliary care, healthcare or related setting. * Proven track record in managing rotas and workforce deployment in a fast-paced environment. * Strong understanding of compliance and care regulation standards (e.g., CQC, Local Authority contracts). * Experience managing staff performance and supporting team development. Desirable: * Further education/qualifications in Leadership, Health and Social Care, or Resource Planning. * Project management or scheduling software certification. Special attributes / skills required * Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and scheduling platforms. * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Ability to make quick, data-informed decisions under pressure. * High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. * Knowledge of workforce compliance, rota law, and care sector regulations. * Strong communication skills,able to liaise with internal teams, local authorities, and external partners effectively.
